About Us
Our Story
I am originally from Houma, but I was eager to move as soon as I graduated from LSU in 2004. Armed with a BS in Chemical Engineering, I left Louisiana for 15 years. I had an amazing job in Utah in the nuclear fuel field (I call it the "non-nuclear" part of the nuclear industry), where I met and married Mark.
Over time, we became disheartened by the corporate world, and I started to feel an inexplicable need to farm. I grew one tomato, promptly killed it, and claimed, "I want to be a farm girl!" Shockingly, Mark agreed.
We planned our move back to Louisiana for years. Fast forward through lots of trials and tribulations, and here we are. Farmers. We wouldn't have it any other way (well, Mark would like less humidity - if someone figures that out, let me know).
